Hadn't been to The Silver Cod for a few years due to the awful food and service provided in the past. What a complete difference the new owner has made to this business, standards, the food and the menu are so much improved. The quality of the fish served here is equally good as that which is served in some well known restaurants in Whitby but it's not just the quality of the fish it's knowing how to cook it light crispy batter and not over cooked. Have also tried the Parmo, which was also very good. When we want take away food there is only one place to go consider now Silver Cod.
There's never a disappointment when getting the fish and chips from here, Children's meals, sausage and chips ect are lovely. Friendly staff who always makes an effort to say hello. Yes it's a great chip shop
Beautiful evening, such lovely food we ate in the restaurant, the restaurant is beautiful , amazing staff , it would have just been nice to have the tea in a teapot. But absolutely lovely evening xxxx
Been here a few times and the chicken tandoori, doner wrap in a naan is fantastic and definitely worth a try. Includes salad so partly healthy but tastes fab. Will be trying again.

Just love this place and my Husband adores their kebab meat and their parmos! Just around the corner from our friend's house, he's always there when they've had a night out.
We had a takeaway from here tonight the food was lovely. We had a parmo, donner meat and sausage and chips, all good was delicious. We will definitely be back soon Thank you
The food at this restaurant is excellent and served promptly with great service and value. The portions are really generous and I highly recommend Carole and Gordon.

The service was fast and friendly as usual, the portion sizes were huge, and the food was fresh, hot, and tasty! Fantastic, definitely recommended.
