My husband and I visited this diner 3 times while we were in the area. Twice for dinner and once for breakfast. We were seated promptly. The tables were disinfected and they put up plastic panels between the booths. The servers were very friendly and courteous and you can tell the staff bonds well together. I saw some of them singing together. Very nice to see and I think it makes it a place where the staff actually want to come to work. I stopped by for breakfast and was really disappointed with the experience. An employee kept raising the music volume to a level that was almost unbearable. Several patrons voiced their complaints about it. While the volume did get turned down a bit, it was still too loud to have a conversation with others at my table without yelling.
We've always loved Silver Diner, now even more so since one of us needs to be gluten free. They have LOTS of GF dishes all well marked on their menu. Food is always solid, with plenty of variety. Our favorite restaurant anywhere near Greenbelt. A little on the high side for pricing, but well worth it for good quality food.
The menu was varied and unusual for a diner. You can have regular diner fare or you can have vegan plant based meals. My chicken piccata was lovely. What made this place so amazing was the server. A friendly welcoming young man who made us feel special. I will go back

We were going to BWI to fly home, and we were coming from Washington DC and needed a quick breakfast. this diner was on the way, so we stopped to have breakfast. I had the eggs benedict with crab it was so good. Also, the people/staff were so friendly.
We’ve recently started eating a more healthy diet and Silver Diner does an AWESOME job showing you calories and content (gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc). The food is always really good. This is one of our favorite restaurants!!
I was surprised to find a delicious vegetarian offering at a diner! The Thai Cauliflower Quinoa packs a lot of flavor and texture into a bowl that neither offends with too much heat or disappoints with a lack of seasoning.
They seemed to do a great job to keep staff and customers safe during this pandemic. Social distance between tables was great to see. Even though we took ours to go, it was good to see.

Ate here on a road trip through town. Food was excellent and the service was good too. I had the chicken sandwich and it was. So fresh. You don’t get that at many places.
