We stayed at the Silver Horseshoe Inn for one night on our way to the Salt Lake City airport. We had visited that part of Idaho earlier on our trip, staying in Idaho Falls, and found the area fascinating, with so much to see and do. In retrospect, I wish we had stayed at the Silver Horseshoe Inn in St Anthony during the earlier portion of our trip, instead of at a chain hotel in idaho Falls. We were on our way to Yellowstone and wanted to find a place to stay that wasn't super expensive like every place that's near to the entrances to the park. The Silver Horseshoe is a little over an hour away from the park entrance in Montana where we went in. Based on the many positive reviews we thought we'd give it a try. WOW. This place exceeded all our expectations. When the manager checked us in, he very kindly upgraded us to a larger suite at no extra charge, and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. My girlfriend booked this but when we stayed the owner gave her the creeps to the point that she was was convinced of hidden cameras in our room. There are knick knacks all over the room where it would be convenient to hide a camera. He is always watching...watching us unload our vehicle, there when we opened the door to leave our room, weird comments, etc. The breakfast was open packaging of store bought processed foods. We stayed at the Ashton Log Cabins on our way back...much better in every way. Don't believe the 5 star reviews here that have been bought with a room discount.
The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything you need. Our room, or rather, our suite, had a kitchen that included all the essentials for cooking. Additionally, we were provided with a parking permit to make parking across the street much easier. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so it’s sure to get even better.
From the friendly staff to the complimentary drinks and breakfast, along with the generous room size, everything was simply perfect.

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago while traveling to Yellowstone, and we had a fantastic experience! The rooms are both charming and elegantly decorated. At the time of our visit, they provided frozen breakfast items and toasters in the rooms, which allowed us to enjoy an early breakfast and reach the park entrance ahead of the morning crowds. Although there was a mix-up with our room upon arrival, the clerk was extremely helpful and resolved the issue seamlessly.
We were looking for something unique and definitely found it. We stayed in the lodge and loved it. That room is really for a larger family or a group of families but our family of 3 really enjoyed getting to spread out. The owner/manager was very pleasant and showed us around upon our arrival. They supplied more than enough breakfast items for us and also bought donuts and muffins. We have already recommended this Inn to friends that may find themselves in the area. :
There was nothing I needed that they didn't provide already. SO many extras we didn't expect like actual dishes, silverware, Keurig coffeepot, Belgium waffles with fixings in our fridge and so much more! I went in and NEVER left room until checkout. It was so cozy and welcoming:)Rooms: Facility undergoing remodeling we can't wait until they open steakhouse saloon. We'll definitely be back. Owner was SO humble and kind. Price was right!
We had a wonderful experience during our stay! We stayed in the suite, which provided ample space for our family of three. After a two-week road trip, we found the accommodations to be outstanding. The management was fantastic and generously filled the refrigerator with everything we needed to prepare a complete breakfast in the morning—eggs, sausage, hash browns, juice, and waffles! The kitchen was much larger than expected for a studio apartment, plus the large closet was great. There is a full size refrigerator and dishwasher which amazed me. The decor and high ceilings were great. Randy was very accommodating. 25 steps up to the rooms, so pack light.
Awesome place! Cant wait for the restaurant to be reopened. The guys are putting a lot of work into the remodel and using high end quality inclusions. Recommend staying.
