I ordered a bowl of the Garlic Truffle and Shoyu Fire ramen. My friend started coughing after just a few sips of the spicy broth, which might have made some other diners a bit uncomfortable, haha. However, we really enjoyed all the toppings, especially the protein. The garlic truffle broth was thick and rich, and the fatty chashu was delicious, though it was just a single piece, which was a bit disappointing. The shoyu fire broth was also great, and if I remember correctly, you can lower the spice level and request the chili paste on the side to add as you like. But let me tell you: it’s definitely worth the wait! Just a heads up—no mask, no entry. The food is incredible! I highly recommend the Tsukemen; make sure to add a squeeze of lime to the sauce. This was easily the best ramen I've ever had. I'm amazed at how delicious it was even when delivered. The pork was absolutely fantastic, and the broth was exquisite. I ordered the karage chicken, and it was incredibly crispy and delightful. I honestly expected it to be soggy and unappetizing, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Delicious ramen! I'm really happy to have a location closer to home instead of having to go all the way to Silverlake. Ernesto was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent service. The food was excellent and incredibly tasty. I tried both the classic and the blaze dishes, and they were well worth the wait, even during dinner time. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. There was plenty of parking available during lunch as well.
The Shoyu had a burnt flavor to it and my kids did not like it. The blaze was good. The Garlic Truffle had the most soggy noodles Ive ever had from a restaurant, like it was left in the pot for too long and would break when lightly stretched.
Authentic and delicious food with great service! However, I deducted one star due to cleanliness. I noticed that the same pot might have been used for cooking the noodles and other dishes, as I found noodles in the edamame.
The Shoyu Ramen is my favorite choice, and Silverlake always delivers. It's consistently excellent and served quickly. Don't forget to try their Chicken Karaage as well—it's absolutely delicious! Book a table now
