The food is the best you’ll find in Owen Sound. 5+ stars for taste, freshness, portion size, and value. The smothered chicken is absolutely amazing. I have to give only 3 stars because it’s so difficult, and sometimes impossible to order takeout. We are seniors and have not dined in a restaurant for almost 3 years. So we rely on takeout service. We also do pick up rather than Skip, because we know the costs to restaurant owners. Many (many) times I’ve tried to place a takeout order with Sizzlin only to be told to call back later. Really good food and first rate service. I had the Georgian Bay Whitefish and the daily soup both excellent. Service was prompt and unobtrusive a really friendly feel to the place and comfortable seating. Good wine selection. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$70–80
We visited to celebrate our 20th anniversary and were incredibly impressed from the moment we walked in. Our server, Paul, was the best we’ve ever had in all our years of dining out! The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was fabulous, and the staff was AMAZING.
It was our first visit, and we were not let down! The food was fantastic—fresh, well-portioned, and delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our waiter was a gem. It made for a lovely date. Highly recommended!
