"The server was over keen to take our order; passed no comment or concern when clearing our allbut uneaten main course and ignored us after we declined sweets of coffee. The food we left was gougons of perch, which comprised soggy battered skin with minimal flesh and non-descript chips."

Without options in a rainy, snowy Sunday in November passing through Aix les Bains, we decided to go to this place knowing practically that it was a tourist trap in front of the lake. The filets de perche came in less than 5 minutes, probably either re heated or deep fried in lowest quality oil. No taste at all. Industrial mayonnaise was already put into the small serving pots. When you leave mayo for a long time exposed and outside the fridge it creates a crust. That was the case. Fries were probably fried in worst quality oil. Dessert very bad, uneatable blueberry tart, which was impossible to cut as ithe dough was as hard as concrete. Liquid jam floating all around the dessert. Not even t...

Ordered the perch fillets and chips from one of the set menu's as other people were eating it and it looked very nice. However, looks can be deceiving. It arrived within a minute or two of ordering which is always a worry. The chips were only just warm and the fish was chewy. The lady serving us was pleasant but rather forgetful and we had to keep asking for the same thing. There are plenty of other restaurants so use them rather than going here.

Very popular with locals and tourists, they have a huge menu with something for every taste. I choose a dish from Savoy, Tartiflette which was after all too heavy but very tasty. I had 6 Oysters before and 1/2 bottle of local White wine. All in all pleasant but the restaurant was very full. The waiters came to the end of their capacities but have still been pleasant.

We waited for food for a long time, but it did not arrive. All the tables next to us were served the dishes, except for us. I guess because we were the only ones who did not speak French. When we asked to speak to the manager a guy came who did not speak English. We paid for the wine and left. Extremely bad service. It is recommended not to go there.
