From the moment you step inside, you can feel the beautiful history of the building. The service we received from the instant we got here was amazing. The staff are all so helpful, thoughtful, and caring. Every detail on your trip is thought of and cared for by the staff. Making sure you have the dinner reservations you'd like, ensuring that you have the choice of either breakfast in your room or a spot at their brunch. There is nowhere on the island we'd rather stay for a romantic get-away. We can't wait to keep coming back.Rooms: The rooms are gorgeous and large and make you feel a certain level of romantic luxury that's hard to find.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance. Service was the worst I've ever had. Our server would often walk away while I was speaking (this lead to my order being received incorrectly), or just stand at our table staring at us until we initiated conversation. He appeared to be enjoying himself with other tables, schmoozing and laughing, so this felt personal. I intended to spend a lot of money... I'd have spent significantly more on food and liquor had our server been more present, or present at all. Staff seem very toxically masculine and in a competition with one another to see who can be more unpleasant. The one and only female on staff, who I interacted with only briefly, seemed to be the only kind person available. I cannot say...

The pesto linguine with chicken was really good. I did find a small bone in it but I didn't choke so, no harm done. My wife had the steak tacos and she enjoyed them. We were there during happy hour so the apps were half off. We tried the crab cakes and even at 50% off they were not worth getting. We didn't taste the crab at all. They were mostly potato. We also shared a charcuterie board. The wild boar sausage and blue cheese were my favorites but the whole board was good. The servers were excellent. Overall it was nice, and I'd recommend it but skip the crab cakes!

Don’t hesitate, just go. I have not had more fresh, unique, and stunningly delicious food in the maritimes *in years* before going here. It beats many high end restaurants in my home town of Halifax, and without the pretentiousness or inflated prices. You can tell the people working here love what they do, and it shines through in the food and cocktails… omg the cocktails!!! I will be dreaming of this place until I can return, absolutely wonderful 10/10 experienceFood drinks: Delicious and unique menu offerings Book a table now

A waitress in Halifax, originally from PEI, recommended Slaymaker Nichols to us, and we were incredibly fortunate to receive that tip. It was a truly exceptional experience—definitely deserving of 10 stars! The charcuterie and cheese board was impressively unique, and the cocktails were some of the best we've ever had, particularly the custom Amaretto Sour. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant in Charlottetown!

However, I gave the crab cakes only 3.5 stars. They didn't have a strong crab flavor and were a bit mushy, although the eggs were cooked perfectly. I would suggest lightly steaming the kale for better digestion, but that's just my personal preference. The dish was otherwise well dressed. The Mimosa and the Caesar salad both earned 5 stars. Overall, the food and drinks were fantastic!

Wow! Very cool aesthetic and vibe. Enjoyed the antique decor. Intimate space with great music.Love the idea of the heaters in the patio.Treat yourself to the PB&J old fashioned. You will not regret it. So smooth and delicious. Also comes with cookies, so you could save it for an aperitif.Lobster Bao (amazing idea) and the chowder were both so flavourful.

Awesome meal, great service and staff, and just an all around nice space. Seared scallops were perfect, and the halibut was delicious. Can’t wait to head back next time I’m in town. Definitely not to be missed. Book a table now
