So What lived up to expectations having lost our local eating place Claire Marine La Cayenne Marennes we decided to explore across the estuary we also remembered that the owner of the above had told us of the few places he could recommend for the Eclade experience. Six of us enjoyed the outside ambience and 5 of us chose moules and frits and one the huge langoustines....washed down with a very nice white wine. The huge plate of the most fantastic frits any of us have ever eaten soon disappeared. A lovely meal, reasonably priced and without the usual tourist trap menu. Just what we were looking for and we will be back!

I booked this restaurant for the first mealt of our trip to La Tremblade and we were not disappointed. My husband had the eclade de moules which was quite a sight on its charred wooden board. He said they were delicious, along with the tastiest fries. I had the huitres au gratin which were divine. Simple surroundings, great food, well cooked and presented. The signage to get to the restaurant is a bit basic BUT DON`T improve it, keep it a secret for those who know!!

Lovely little restaurant tucked under the seudre road bridge. Very authentic and rustic specialising in the local seafood. The éclade was very popular but we had oysters and moules which were beautifully fresh. A lovely outlook over the river seudre and plenty of nautical activity . Will definitely visit again when in the area. It was difficult to find how to get there, but worth the effort.
