There is not enough superlatives to describe the food in this place. We started with an antipasto board with melting in the oral croquettes, the delicious eggplant Parmigiana, highest quality cold cuts and a truffle pecorino, from which we could not get enough. One of her characteristic dishes was followed by ... a grilled calamari so tender and delicate with perfect quantities of lemon and chili. Reminded me of a meal I had in the port of Messina, Sicily. Can not go wrong with the sexy shells and a few white anchovies. The. Came the handmade pasta. Amazing pappardelle with meat flood and fatuccine with rongel. Then followed by a meter board of three pizzas ... Ricotta, truffles and prosciut...

GOOD FOOD BUT TERRIBLE SERVICE After multiple good experiences with this place, I've highly recommendation my friends to come. But yesterday's experience was a total let down. First we had a staff kind of throwing the glasses to the table as we've asked for water instead of ordering drinks. Then when asked if they can accommodate my friend's vegetarian dietary needs, the staff annoyingly replied I don't know what's coming out from the oven next Thereafter they've pretty much left us unattended starving while waiting to get their attention again. They've pretty much just served us mainly margarita pizzas and 1 mushroom pizza in between very long intervals. When approached again to ask...read...
Society Di Catania is now open in Potts Point. It’s located in Victoria street where the famous Jimmy Liks used to be. It’s such an iconic location with so much history, so naturally, any new resident has huge shoes to fill. Society Di Catania definitely lives ups to its predecessors. The space oozes ambience and atmosphere. It’s tastefully decorated with long wooden tables on one side (perfect for large groups and special occasions) and more intimate bar style dining on the other (perfect spot for a special date). A grande woodfired pizza oven is at the back where the chefs create their mouth-watering pizzas.
It is the care and detail that goes into each dish that makes an evening here exceptional. The pizza bases and the texture of the pasta makes this one of the best Italian restaurants I have tried in Sydney. Slightly more attentive service would have meant we easily would have ordered a couple more bottles of wine and full availability of the dessert menu would have tipped this to a 5/5. But delicious food and great ambience mean I will be back. Book a table now
I understand (also under the name) that this place is Sicilian, but the pizza is neapolitic made, and I love it. I like the marcantonio. the place is very elegant. both of them when I left, I was with one or two friends. I thought it was perfect for a one-to-one dining experience or a date, but not for a fun dinner with a group of mates.
Best Italian in Sydney City, authentic food that is definitely astonished and consistently amazed by the menu. This must be the best pizza I had, and that involves the gluten-free base. Employees are very attentive and try to make sure they enjoy their experiences. Well done ! The city needed a real Italian!
if they have demanded an Italian, this place is good and really scratches the itch. the pasta is of the highest quality, the charcuterie on-point and the pizzas large enough to feed a small village (what is good because they can be eaten in box, with home taken and for lunch the next day).
definitiw a place to go back! nice kitchen-friendly staff! everything is made to home, very delicious, fresh Italian products, very pleasant environment to enjoy a beautiful night! Book a table now
great food here from the selection of the super tasty appetizers that entice them before the excellent authentic Italian pizzas. great wine and cocktail list also.
