beautiful staff, eating was delicious and very cheap, really impressive service of more or less a waitress, all the front of the house for the whole restaurant. it is a small place, but impressive and admirable all the same and it is clear that the staff works very hard. (was not the name of our waitress, but it was fantastic; the service was fast and she was friendly, polite and very attentive. please go and try them socrates taverna, but only if they plan to tap! they earn every penny.
We recently had 2 take out delivery meals from Sokrates having dined in there a few years back. OMG the food was just as wonderful as I remember and authentically greek in taste. The highlights for us were the Chicken Souvlaki and the Stifado, but we have had both the meze and chosen our own and all were delicious. I highly recommend you try it. Looking forward to the next meal already.
The restaurant was a bit quiet, but the food was delicious and the staff were excellent. My only minor complaint would be that the restroom could use some updating. I would rate the service and food a 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5. I would recommend trying the Souvlaki Dinner. The price per person for dinner was between £20-30.
Having lived in Cyprus for 13 years, I am familiar with authentic Greek cuisine. While the service at this restaurant was excellent, I found that the food was lacking in authenticity and didn't have that distinct "Greek" touch. I gave it four stars because it did remind me of the past, but I believe the food could be improved upon. Book a table now
Three people. 4 dips £5, 3 starters and 3 mains, absolutely bob on. We wanted Kleftico but you have to pre order this dish before hand, so make sure to request this when reserving. Apart from that, very good food all round, good prices, excellent waiters. Spot on. We'll pre order this dish next time.
We enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant with a selection of mezze dishes including pitta bread, fried options, calamari, halloumi, and a variety of meats. Everything was perfectly cooked and served with a smile. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.
This charming little tavern is a gem. The food is authentic and delicious, with generous portions. The staff is friendly and personable, and the prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return when we visit Sale again.
Fantastic date night at Sokrates. The staff member on the night was super friendly and welcoming and catered to everything really well. The food was fantastic all round and we unfortunately had no space left to try dessert this time, so we will be back. Book a table now
