I went to celebrate a nice work break with my family in the bar area and a patron that that walked in after us set down near us, was talking about religion and assume because we were black thar we were from Crenshaw. I explained to her we grew in the valley. I did express my discomfort to the seating waitress. and asked if she was a regular but felt that was no excuse. I visited this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed some great food at a reasonable price. I really appreciated that they prepare the guacamole salad right in front of you, letting you customize it to your liking. The service was excellent, although there are a few small details they could improve on. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!
I have a tradition in my business where we come here for every Cinco de Mayo but we definitely come here at least once a month. They make guacamole at the table and the rice and beans side is perfect! I personally love the burritos but my co-worker swears anything with shrimp in it is the best. Plus the decor is very nice.

Fantastic setting… guacamole dip made at your table was a great touch… ordered the hefty serving of Machaca plate and did not disappoint… the part that stood out was the crew was genuinely checking on our table making sure everything was good… Will visit again, next time we’re in town…
The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant was buzzing with activity, with a long line forming outside just 30 minutes after opening. Everything we tried was delightful! I highly recommend this place!
This isn't my first time having molcajete, but I believe it will be the last time I get it at Sol y Luna. The chicken was really overcooked, and the carne asada was disappointing as well.
