This restaurant bar lounge is located in a historic building in Solothurn right on the river edge. This once was the local slaughterhouse. Don't worry you won't find any animal guts inside. One of our local friends showed us this place, otherwise we would have passed it up. It is a large building, but doesn't look like much from the outside. One of those places you just want to hang out in. Huge space next to the river. Great outdoor seating by the water, indoor the huge windows, high ceilings and old stone walls make you just want to hang out there. Late for lunch and early for dinner but was able to get the veggie antipasti and a burger. The antipasti was a bunch of flavor bombs. The pesto and tomatoes were excellent. The olives I wanted to take home with me. So tender and full of flavor in olive oil and a little rosemary, the Parmesan with drizzled balsamic was great and so were the zucchini slices. I was here on vacation and found the location and the service very good. I thought the solheur burger was very good and I would recommend it. The price ratio is fair.
Lovely place by the river to relax and enjoy a snack and a beer. Warm and friendly staff on this occasion who immediately sorted out a small issue. Recommended.
