Solo Pizza is one of the tiniest pizza joints ever. It's BYO and only pizza and limited Italian desserts on the menu. Nothing fancy means the sole pizza maker (working his guts out tonight) can focus on what he does best -- and he sure makes a mean pizza!
We sat inside but you can also choose from limited outdoor tables which I imagine would be a cracker on a hot summer night with a bottle of red.
We ordered the Margherita ($17, minus fresh tomato, add pepperoni $1) and the Quattro Formaggio ($18.50) using brie, parmigiano, feta + mozzarella. Both pizzas were made with a thin base (my fave!) but were a fraction on the salty side for my taste. But the bases were crispy and had that smoky wood...
Very authentic Italian style pizzas. I don't say this lightly. Most pizza joints including the big franchises sell you flat round pieces of bread with toppings on it, but at this establishment the pizzas go back to their Italian roots.
The menu can take a while to comprehend as upon first glance all the pizzas look more or less identical, with minor differences of just a couple of ingredients. I wouldn't mind if they reduced the number of pizzas on offer to make the menu easier to interpret, most people would not miss anything. I certainly wouldn't.

We were pumped to finally try this place on a Friday evening. We opted for takeaway and when we arrived to pick it up the restaurant was packed. It has a great atmosphere to it, Service was super friendly and very authentic, and a little easy on the eye too ????!! We tried the works and the Calabrese. I think we didn't choose well! The Gorgonzola cheese was way too much on the Calabrese, and not enjoyable. It seemed to be like all ingredients tasted the same if that makes sense! Really bland . On a positive note, it was nice to have a pizza that wasn't oily . We Will try again because they look like they care, and it was just so busy I think we choose the wrong ones.
This place has the best pizza's, tiny little BYO place but the staff are beyond amazing.Every friend that I have taken here absolutely love it and always come back.Must try.
