The food was great, the service was great, everything was awesome.. until it wasn’t.We got home and walked the beach and my boyfriend proposed to me (I said yes!)We called our families and about an hour to two hours later our stomachs started to hurt. We were sat right away which is nice because we had a reservation. The table was not the best, to much traffic walking by from the kitchen. We ordered drinks first , Blueberry Lemoncello Spritz was very nice, the Tito 's and Tonic was very light on the Tito 's so asked for a shot to put in it. We ordered the Orange Cauliflower for an appetizer which was cooked properly but NO flavor at all. Very disappointed. We ordered the Atlantic Halibut which was cooked great but again not much flavor at all. The other meal was the seared scallops which was very good but again lacking in any type of spice. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. While I completely understand that some guests prefer a quiet dining atmosphere and may not appreciate the sounds of a baby or toddler, the staff should have informed us right away that this establishment isn't kid-friendly. Aside from the waitress who was genuinely trying to ensure we had a good time, the rest of the staff, especially the hostess, were quite rude. At one point, a staff member approached our table and said, "We may have to take your baby if he continues to make noise, as people are complaining." I would have understood that and would likely have taken my kids outside to avoid disturbing others, but there are much more...
5 stars across the board. This has stolen my #1 spot for places to eat in the area. I am the type of person who is picky and i say this from the bottom of my heart. this place is DIVINE. The service is wonderful. The drinks are strong and delicious. The atmosphere was perfectly romantic. The food. Don't get me started on the food. The bao buns were expertly made with an excellent crunch. The duck, stop it, I've never had duck like this. It was INCREDIBLE. The desserts are all homemade that day in house! I had a lovely dining experience at Solstice this evening. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was delightful. I ordered the Burrata Salad, the Halibut with Asparagus, and the Solstice Cake for dessert. I really enjoyed the background music, which included some of my favorites like "Unchained Melody," "My Girl," and "Runaround Sue." The service was excellent; Kayla was very attentive, and Trish took over towards the end of my meal. I appreciated her warmth and gentleness. Both ladies made me feel relaxed and unhurried while I was finishing a book I was reading. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.
My husband and I love going out to eat and Solstice is always our favorite. The food in incredible, drinks are great, the service is wonderful and we love the ambiance. We love to give gift cards to Solstice too because we want other people to experience it’s greatness.
We've been there for special events over and over again. Dates, anniversaries, etc... Perfect food, service, and atmosphere. Truly professional. Never a disappointment in a single way.
