Called for a pre diner meal. We arrived and ordered 2 course meals. The staff were helpful and professional. The starters arrived and were well cooked and spiced. They were excellent. We finished these and the main courses and sides arrived. Again they were 1st class. I ordered a madras and it was spiced to perfection. The rest of the dishes were all superb. All of us agreed that it was some of the best Indian dishes we have eaten. It was the first time there but will be back.
Waited 40 minutes for our meal..have been here a few times but tonight food was slightly burnt. I think they forgot about us then when I complained it was rushed out. Tandoori mixed grill looked impressive but just a shame it was burnt below. We had to put most of our food in a take away container as hadn't time to finish. Food is nice.. as I enjoy this restaurant I'll give it another try see if issues are the same.
Can’t rate this place highly enough, the staff were really attentive and friendly, we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains, the starters were class,,the mixed starter was one of the best I’ve had, onion bajjies were beaut, I mistakenly ordered a prawn main, they were super good in offering to return it for an alternative, the mains were totally amazing, nan bread was super too, definitely be back for more.
Went in with a groupon deal that I got for Christmas and was very very pleasantly surprised this is by far the nicest bryiani I have tasted in a long time. We got starters and mains with garlic nan and loved every bit of this meal. My husband got the balti and couldn’t finish it as the portions were very large and he loves his grub too. We booked for mother’s day as well so I’m hoping we get. Book a table now
Whilst travelling the local area and looking for something to eat, we came across Sonali. With the most recent reviews dated 2020 we were unsure if the restaurant was still open or was just for takeaways. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is open for dining in and we enjoyed a thoroughly delicious meal.
My partner I came here as we got a good deal through Groupon. The food was gorgeous the staff were very friendly. We weren’t rushed when finishing our meals just kept checking if everything was ok. Will definitely be back as this place is a proper Indian cuisine.
Booked a table via the website for Saturday 11 January 2020 at 7.30. Got an email confirmation. Turned up and the place was closed with no sign of life! I had tried to book by phone earlier the same day but no response. Is it out of business?
