this place was already a past, but hubby discovered it only recently. we are very shy about trying new places in houma. another Thai place had nothing vegan at all! Welcome to bayou land we are so happy, we have tested the song phi nong water! we had the basil fried rice (delicious and spicy sweet sour veggie w/tofu (a wonderfully riveted ananas sauce) and went veggies w/tofu (rich and ingwer w/bits from ananas). all the vegetables were perfectly cooked, not overhauled or underdonated. the atmosphere is very clean and very covered, despite staying in a stripe mall. there were fresh flowers on the tables and the staff was friendly and casual. the food arrived quickly as ordered. are typical,...
I enjoyed the crispy fried tofu and the lemongrass soup with shrimp at this restaurant. The fried tofu had a unique sauce, but I requested hoisin sauce and it complemented the dish perfectly. The fried tofu also came with delicious cucumbers in a sweet sauce, which made for a great combination. The Lemongrass Soup was fantastic, with a mix of amazing flavors. I made the mistake of asking for 3 stars, as their spice level was too hot for me. I will stick to 2 stars next time.
Every time I've been here, their entire staff are incredibly helpful and usually pretty knowledgeable about food allergies; the kitchen is great about precautions to ensure that gluten free orders stay GLUTEN FREE. That all would get a a great review from me anyway, but I wanted to say how impressed I was with their willingness to replace my meal that I admittedly did not state my allergen when ordering!!!
