We arrived at 7.50pm for an 8pm reservation and were told our table wasn’t ready. Ok fine, I said we were happy to wait outside but they offered us a small table near the bar. I was under the impression we would be seated there...until our actual table was available but apparently not. We weren’t impressed so decided to leave. If that had been our assigned table from the outset it would probably have been less of an issue but the fact they pointed to a lovely table that was supposed to be ours but relegated us to a poky one, plus the fact they were seemingly not organised enough to ensure people with early bookings stuck to their assigned times, was disappointing. Food was nice but not hot. Service was terrible and we were charged 22 for a tip. Staff were happy to ignore our table and when we did get someones attention it took 10-15 minutes before they came back with a drink. (If they remembered).... When we were seated, we waited and no one offered us a menu until we asked to see one ourselves. No one asked us was everything ok during our meal or did we need anything else. Went to Sophie’s for a celebratory dinner after running the London Marathon. Probably the best steak I’ve eaten for ages, the starters, sides, desserts and cocktails were all fantastic as well. Love that you could order a 375ml carafe of any wine on the list,...perfect for just two of us. The staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. Wonderful night out. Not cheap but great value for the quality of the food and the experience.

visited this restaurant for dinner. the decor is great with a modern atmosphere. the service is friendly. the menu is a meat eater morgasboard. food quality (although expensive) is high. if they like meat, this restaurant will suit them well.
Is ok!! Was much better when first started going there 5 years ago! They are well established so obviously will keep trading well regardless Everywhere peaks The real skill is maintaining that high quality and standard!
