We toured the museum in the morning and decided to stay on for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but they were more than accomodating for 'walk ins'. The wine list is enormous, one of the best collections of Burgundies you will find. The wait staff were excellent, explained the 'share' style of food they offer and gave us as much or as little detail as we asked for. We shared starters and a couple of entrees followed by a single Main.Three dishes stood out. The brioche, truffle and gruyere 'toasted sandwich' for starters was unbelievably delicious. Our entree of Venison tataki melted like butter in your mouth. The crispy pork belly main course packed serious depth of flavour accompanied by midd...

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a late lunch here before we wandered the gallery. It was in a lovely setting, tablecloths and napkins, unpretentious wait staff who were helpful but not in your face. We drank Muse Extra Brut sparkling which was fab and enjoyed a sharing experience of appetites and entrees. 3 of each! That was definately enough for us. Not as $$$ as I thought it would be and the serves of the entrees were certainly enough to fill us. Of special note was the duck with wilted greens and the trout. Both entrees. Complex flavours and generous. I also thought the affrogato was superb. Ice-cream - amazing.

We have twice now ended our day at MONA museums with a decadent late lunch here. Makes for a fantastic day out. The food was fresh, flavourful and with lots of variety. The duck salad with a gruyere soufflé and brussel sprouts on the side was a winning combination. The sommelier gave great advice and the service was attentive, even though continuity was broken by being served by multiple wait staff. Can't wait for our next visit to Mona and The Source.

As guests of MONA, we had daily breakfast at the Source. A fantastic way to start the day. Friendly staff and a great menu. It can be very hard to make a choice. The French toast is to die for but then everything else is also very good. We couldn't eat lunch, we were so full. We had one dinner here and were also very happy with the pork belly, duck and chocolate mousse dessert. Put the Source on your list. Book a table now

Our waiters, Takani and Fra were so very hospitable and knowledgable, our surroundings full of interesting tables with contemporary art inside each table, and the food divine. We thought we were full and wouldn't be able to eat dessert, however we managed to demolish three and some cheese as well. This restaurant is 5 star, and therefore most desserts are $15 each.

After a heavy morning at MONA, we debriefed over a wonderful long lunch of fresh local produce that the chef magically turned into some of the best dishes I have tasted. We took the waiters advice, shared 4 entrees and a desert. We also chose the local vineyards Moorilla sparkling rose. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The Mona museum itself is outstanding but the current exhibition fell well short of my expectations. However the restaurant is almost worth the trip to Tasmania by itself.Outstanding menu , service is excellent with a detailed knowledge of both the food and wine available, complimented by pleasant scenery .

After viewing the MONA exhibits we decided to have lunch here. Service was very good; restaurant was well set up, light and airy. Menu was interesting and our selected meals looked amazing. Then it went downhill. Lamb rump coating left an unpleasant after taste and meals were just warm. Disappointing Book a table now

We had a wonderful experience at the Source Restaurant, could not fault the food, absolutely amazing, the service was very attentive but not over the top, I would definitely recommend it. We sat by the window and the view was beautiful, overall had a lovely relaxing lunch.
