Took 10 hungry school basketballers there for a feed after a big day of competition. We were seated around the corner from the main tables which was perfect as the boys could have been a little loud. They all smashed down hamburgers that had a great stack of fresh ingredients. I slammed down a seafood Parma. It was weird on the menu but I took a shot and I ended up pretty happy. They put a bech sauce on the top instead of the usual tomato and 3 prawns instead of the usual ham. The prawns were obviously cooked over an open flame as it had a wonderful smokey aroma to it. Happy with it all. Get there!

Dined with some friends and shared the seafood platter for two with hubby. Platter was lovely, well-cooked and very fresh. Only disappointment was there was only one Moreton Bay bug ! Friends weren't too happy with their meals however, and mentioned next day that, in all their travels around the world, the Surf Club burger was the worst one they'd ever had.Great location at Southbank and probably good for general pub-style meals.

Ordered the fishermans basket which has fresh oysters. I ate one and realised the smell on the shell wasn't right and raised with the chef to let them know but I was told they were fresh. An hour later I'm sick. The food my friends had (seafood platter, minus eating any oysters) was fine and everyone else was ok. Just disappointed the chef/waiters didn't take my concerns seriously and even check the oyster on my plate.

South Bank Surf Club is located in the heart of Brisbane's South Bank and offers great views across the Brisbane River and the South Bank precinct. It's a great place to sit back and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a few drinks with friends. It offers basic bar snack type food, has live music and a reasonable drinks menu. A great place for a casual catch up with friends, cheers. :-) Book a table now

Food OK and prices just OK, but the staff did forget one of our group's meal so they had to wait another 10 mins for it to be cooked. Beer advertised for $5 on the front of the menu but when you got to the bar they said you had to buy 5 bottles to get this price - so some false advertising there which was not good. Balcony seating is good for people watching but wouldn't rush back.

Had breakfast here recently and it was a real disappointment. The water glasses were dirty (sent them back to get clean ones), my coffee arrived with lipstick on the glass (sent it back) and the hollandaise sauce on the eggs was straight from the fridge cold (sent it back too). Have previously had dinner here and it was pretty good but won't be going back after this experience.

DId a long walk from New Farm so was ready for a drink and meal by the time we walked over the Good Will Bridge to arrive at Surf Club. Staff friendly and the 4 Corona for $25 went down well. Just did burgers for lunch which we enjoyed but at $20 each a bit rich. Atmosphere is nice, piped music good and views over river great.

One of the best spots at south bank to sit and people watch whilst overlooking the city and the man made beach (which itself is awesome) and have a bite to eat and drink. Food is great and always quick. Great for families, groups and couples. Another one of regular haunts in Brisbane. Book a table now

You cant beat this place for atmosphere for lunch. The view is amazing next to Southbank Beach. Food is pretty good or basic pub grub. Unfortunately the service is always pretty slack as staff never seem to be in a hurry to pour you a beer or clean a table.
