"A great spot for breakfast. It was my Friends birthday and we celebrated it with great food and service. We had loaded bagels and a cooked breakfast that was washed down with smoothies , hot chocolate and mermaid lattes. It was very homely and friendly,"

I am so sad to be leaving such a poor review for a local independent cafe somewhere that used to be my number one go to in town. The standard of this place has seriously dropped, they serve budget food sold at high prices, dressed up with a bit of rocket or Aldi coleslaw. Afternoon tea made with Iceland and Aldi cakes (not an assumption, a confirmed fact). The owner talks to his staff, in front of customers, like they are disposable. I am saddened to see that he has since expanded and bought another local cafe. It’s mostly young girls he has working for him and you can see they are not happy with how they are treated, but most I’m guessing too scared to say anything. I actually asked one, la...

I took my neice to this dog friendly cafe where I have eaten before. We ordered two jacket potatoes having seen the diners at a nearby table with theirs. The other tables' food looked delicious. Unfortunately ours wasn't. The accompanying salad, coleslaw and fillings were all great but the potatoes were not. They were very small, and one was cold and the other over microwaved so thatvonly about a half was edible. We mentioned this as we were leaving, not having been checked on whilst eating, and the response was very dismissive. Definitely not what I expected. Having looked at recent reviews it looks like something needs to happen to get this place back up to its previous standard. Very disa...

Almost immediately on arriving and whilst looking in the display cabinet to see what I 'd like, a very rude man kept shouting can I help jeez man, give me a chance to decide what I 'd like!! Massively overpriced and coffee was tiny. Waiting time is ridiculous whilst young girls, presumably members of staff stood sniggering behind the counter. Such a shame for a small town coffee shop to have such poor custome service. Other reviews appear to concur with this.

I should have read the reviews before stopping here I've had the worst ever carrot cake, dry and terribly sugary. While the sweetness is a personal preference, the dryness made me wonder how old it was. My iced latte had a tiny bit of ice in it only so was more of a cold ish latte than anything else. The place itself was messily arranged and unfortunately not comfy at all. My disappointment is even bigger as I was charged over £8 for coffee and cake. Avoid.
