Since Spout opened, I have frequently enjoyed breakfast, brunch and lunch here. The clever design of the seating allows more people than you would expect to be accommodated at once. It does get very busy.....but the staff always seem to find everyone a table, you might need a little patience. The menu is compact but there is enough choice to satisfy. I lunch here with friends during the week and then bring my family for breakfast or brunch on the weekends. The staff are efficient and friendly (although Hugh was their greatest service asset and is no longer there). The tiny kitchen pumps out the dishes at a constant pace.....and keeps everyone happy. For me, the thing that makes or breaks a cafe is the service. And the staff here were spot on. As soon as I entered I was welcomed. They were busy but it wasn’t a problem to try and find a seat. All staff were attentive and happy to help when needed. They were all friendly with big smiles and it complemented the warm cozy and bustling space. Now onto the food. Coffee: Perfect. Food: I had the Mushrooms on toast. It was ok, a bit too oily for me and something I probably would t order again. But looking around me, all the other dishes looked pretty tasty. First time here and definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu
What a great cafe! Vibrant and cool, with an earthy Israeli menu that made my mouth water just at seeing the dishes being served around. The place was full and very busy but service was friendly and fast. My eggplant sahi was absolutely delicious, filling and good priced. Their dishes are generous in size so you won't leave hungry. I love cafés that have an original menu, and Spout is unique in that regard. Pity the coffee, which was burnt, bitter and served in one of those tiny cups I hate. Good enough for me to want to return, Spout lived to my expectations.
Spout Cafe is an inviting urban style cafe that serves great coffee and a tasty range Middle Eastern inspired cuisine. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or to sample some of their delicious muffins with your coffee, there are so many tasty options to choose from. The cafe may be a little on the small side but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the all round cafe experience they provide all their customers. Even when its extremely busy the service is still friendly and efficient which is always a plus, and as an added bonus they have free Wi-Fi too.

I sadly wasn't feeling the best when I came here and only had the poached eggs on toast, but my friends' pita pockets looked seriously amazing. Crispy cauliflower should be celebrated whenever possible, and Spout certainly does this humble veggie justice. There are a million shakshuka dishes to choose from, at surprisingly reasonable prices. This place is great, and had a steady hum of customers rolling through whilst we were there. It's not hard to see why. A great little local that I'd be extremely happy to visit again.
Popped down the main street and chose Sprout because of its lovely benches outside, perfect on a Sunny day. The food was delicious, I had the smashed avocado with a side of holoumi and mushrooms and a coffee, all was great. Service was fast, efficient and friendly and pricing reasonable. Overall a great brunch choice,no complaints!
Alisha is lovely and I enjoy grabbing a seat out the front. This place gets sun pretty much all day out on their outside tables, which is rare in Melbourne, you often have to time it just right to get the sunshine at other joints. Coffee is great, service is friendly always. I really enjoy coming here :
I can’t fault these guys! I come here for coffee most days, it’s always great. I come here to eat and the food is always great and so reasonably priced! I’ve had a number of different dishes from the menu and it’s always delicious and generous with great service!
