Very close to the canal. My friends and I visited this on a canal boating day and it was a welcome rest point to get some lunch and chat without the drone of canal boat's diesel engine drone humming in the background. I wouldn't say the food was amazing, I struggle to remember what I even had so I'd say it was nice but not memorable. The service however was brilliant. You could tell they were all putting a lot of effort in and I couldn't fault them. Would come again.
We came for a Sunday Lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, me and my partner! The food was great and the staff were lovely. It was a great atmosphere and they were able to squeeze us in on the waiting list. Our server was Elliot and he was great and very attentive! One of the best service we have had in a while! Overall we will definitely be back! Thankyou Elliot for making our meal a great experience!!
Out walking along the canal, we called in for a bite to eat on 2 June having never visited the pub before ordering two fish pies. The friendly and helpful staff told us the fish pies were ready and that we could pile up our plates with loads of extra stuff pleasant surprise. The quality of the cooking is top class. A great find we will be back.

Dunno what I can say. Excellent carvery. Good value for money. Service was excellent. You are not getting service like that in a chain pub. If you like a carvery Come here.
Excellent stopover on a Saturday evening great menu and substantial meal which was fantastic value and pleasant character of pub and loads of parking

"Food and drink options are great! Such a clean breakfast. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast. Service was 5 star, very friendly staff. Plenty of space inside with a seating area outside. Highly recommend visiting!!"
