Had dinner at the club. Meals are fully priced, with a clarification needed. The meals were indeed fully priced, but there are budget priced meals also (such as bangers and mash, which looked good value as we watched others dine), AND a 10% seniors discount applies to meals. Wife had a fishermen's catch which was large; and I had a lamb's shank that was perfectly cooked and served with a nice salad (had a choice of vegies too). Also had garlic bread which may not have been the best we have had, but was fine. Service was good; the atmosphere quiet but very pleasant. A nice evening was had.
We went to the St George RSL for an affordable dinner and weren't disappointed. The staff were friendly, the food was good value, in large portions and great quality. Although my meal had a set back with some under cooked chicken the oversight was hastily rectified and the meal was exceptional on the second go.
What a little gem, this establishment is a decent size club for a small town, the food was exceptional, so fresh and tasty, I had bangers and mash which is the best I've had, my mates had the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The service was pretty good. Worth a visit.
Thought I'd drop in (June 2017) but unfortunately St George RSL no longer in operation. Other options in town includes pubs and motel restaurants and during the day time their are also cafes to choose from or pop out to Riversands Winery for a Ploughman's Lunch.

Went for dinner Friday night. Ok for the price if you like to eat everything. Lots of food on offer. Salads, hot food such as roast and veggies, cold seafood and hot seafood, sushi station, soup, fried food, fruit and two dessert stations.
Went here for dinner, the curried lamb would be better described as curried potato and carrots with a hint of lamb. Staff and locals were friendly though, clean and very quiet for a Saturday. An easy walk from anywhete in town.
This establishment looks good from the outside but unfortunately it is now closed and according to the notice from the directors on the front door, it will not be reopening.
We wanted to go here for dinner tonight and it said they were open until 12am. Got here hungry after a long drive but they were closed. Please update your opening times.

Your typical country RSL, friendly staff, good food and way to many TV screens, pokies and Keno.....unfortunately a necessary evil to keep the club financial.
Looking for somewhere to have a good meal and reasonable prices, try the RSL. Family atmosphere as well. Staff friendly.
