Had a mixed experience at the st Leonard’s hotel today. The food was great, view was great, drinks were great. But unfortunately we waited a very long time for 2 parmigianas that we ordered for our kids to share. When we asked after our food...the waitress was very apologetic, and called the manager, he could not have cared less. Said to my husband that we could take a refund or wait for our parmas, no offer of a drink or compensation, despite them taking our order to another table 30 min earlier. I can’t fault the food or the wait staff but the manager needs to learn some skills in customer service when there is a mistake. Disappointing

There’s nothing flash about this pub, but it’s got all the necessities ..... beer, wine, food, along with a huge beer garden overlooking the sea! We visited out of peak season so it’s wasn’t jumping, but considering the size of the beer garden I’m sure...it’s extremely busy at the peak of summer! Basic food menu with four daily specials, food was delivered very quickly after ordering. Prices average. Family friendly. On street parking, also public carpark over the road. Musicians play on Saturday night either in beer garden or inside depending on weather.
In St. Leonards, there has been a noticeable shift in direction that is rapidly evolving. The restaurants in the area are becoming more competitive, offering higher quality meals to attract customers. With the increasing competition, it is clear that more options are needed to accommodate the growing number of visitors. A larger shopping center with ample space would be beneficial, but we appreciate the advancements being made in the area.
beautiful simple pub at the bay near the coast in st Leonard’s. many seats in the free superior the seats in the inner. the employees work hard and are attentive, but some of the waiting employees might be a bit more interested and happy about their work. menu rather...small with not much change, but the meals themselves are very good standard and very decent portions. As it’s our local pub we have visited quite a few times since moving to St Leonards. Sitting in the beer garden on a sunny day looking out over the water cannot be beaten. Same can’t be said for the management, they seem disinterested in...their patrons apart from their small group of regulars. Meals are generally fairly good, but can be a bit hit and miss.
The steak, parmesan dishes, and seafood cake were all delicious. The beer was cold and refreshing. Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by a nearby table of locals who brought their dog along and spent most of their time fawning over it, interacting with anyone who approached. Thankfully, they didn't linger for too long.
Hotel was clean. Hospitality great. Only disappointment was no service in my room. Stayed 2 nights. Was at work shop all day Saturday Came back excausted for a rest. And my bed was not made no clean towels etc. So for price $149. Per night...at off peak season was not good.
This restaurant has a good, concise menu and offers a wonderful view. It is a great option for families and I highly recommend it. I have dined here multiple times and the food is always delicious. Book a table now
Mmmm....what can i say...some of the food was ok but the chicken schnitzel was terrible...deep fried chicken schnitzel not to my liking... Not a good pub meal...i expected more
