"A very small park with a few benches and picnic tables. Right next to hedonist ice cream! Perfect for a nice relaxing break away from the city area. There is a little free library right side near the entrance that is usually well stocked. Be aware that if you go during the evening there might be smoking from the adjacent bar (Lux lounge)."

If people got stabbed a lot in here, it 'd be Scar Alley. And if a lot of drunken fights took place, it 'd be Spar Alley. While if weird diseases were common here, it would be SARS Alley. And if you had a Moga Tissue, then it 'd me Som Alley-a. I have only been here twice in my life. Once was by accident, and I thought, what a nice little place it is, I wonder why nobody is aware of it. The second time was when CM of Rochester Yelp Breanna brought all the ROC Yelpers (and me) out here for a super duper fun time. Everybody got naked and swing danced (which is a metaphor for unprotected sex) and shared picnic boxes (which is a metaphor for doing drugs). In fact none of this goes on with Yelp,...

This quaint little alley is a hidden gem in the South Wedge. I 've driven by it so many time and never realized it was there. Star Alley is an inviting and colorful little park next to Lux. Somebody put a lot of time into the murals on the building walls and the landscaping. They even have a dispenser of dog waste bags to pick up after your pup! We 've all been there when we realize we never replaced the bag roll that hangs on the leash! Star Alley is open to the public and a perfect place to eat ice cream or take-out from one of the surrounding shops. It was quiet and serene when I was there around 7pm on a Friday night. There are a few picnic tables to relax at and seems to be a good place...

Looking for a small slice of serenity? You 've found it in Star Alley Park! Located right in the heart of the South Wedge, this is the best spot to enjoy your Hedonist ice cream, Harry G 's sandwich, or just some reflective time. There are places to sit, doggy bags for your pup, and places to park your bike. Never mind the gorgeous artwork, murals, and fun company you can encounter. The You 're a Shining Star mural is one of my favorites in the city and entering through the gates of this park does feel like stepping into a whole new oasis. I am looking forward to the next time I can visit and enjoy the neighborhood in a big way.

An urban oasis in the Southwedge area. Lovely garden park wedged among the shops. It was a total delightful surprise, a burst of freshness and bright colors as you walk the street for the first time. The entrance is through an ornamental metal arch with the theme of the park flora and paints. We sat there for awhile chatting and enjoying the colors, the flowers, in one of several picnic tables. On a nice sunny day you can bring your lunch and enjoy the quietness. Sip tea, coffee, pops. I enjoy seeing the birds take dirt baths in the garden. One great addition to the community.
