Star Of India - Table reservation

Star of India is hands down my favorite place for Indian food. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and the food is amazing every single time. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home whether you’re eating in or picking up takeout. The restaurant itself is really nice too, so dining in is always a good time. If you’re grabbing takeout, their website makes it easy to order, and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when picking up. As for the food, it’s the best!! I used to make chicken tikka masala at home, but after trying theirs, I stopped (why bother when they do it ten times better? I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and understanding of my gluten allergy. They showed me on the menu what is safe for me to eat. I had the mild chicken karahi which honestly I could’ve made it a medium because it wasn’t spicy at all and didn’t have that much flavor. I would come back to try their other dishes.

I love to come here because they have an extensive vegan menu and I like the vegan appetizers bhagee. I wish the samosas were vegan!! The food is amazing! Good lunch specials too and easy to order online love the menu has photos online and easy to see what you’re getting and clearly marked vegan/nondairy options !

Our server was extremely polite and welcoming. Made us almost feel at home. Was very helpful in answering questions about the items on the menu. Food was incredible and in large quantities. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Will surely come again when we’re in Ferndale.
