I specifically requested toasted buns, and they assured me that they always toast them. However, the buns did not look or feel toasted at all. When I picked up the bag, I could feel that the bottom burger was cold. I took it out, and sure enough, it was cold. I'm not sure why it took so long for them to bring out my order, only to be served cold food. It was quite disappointing.
I specifically requested roasted rolls, but they told me that the rolls are always served cold. I was surprised they didn't seem to notice or acknowledge it. Even the bags for the lower burgers felt cold to me. When I took them out, they were indeed cold. I didn't understand why it took so long to get my order when it was served cold; it was quite disappointing.
The service is quick, and the food comes out hot. The carhops are very attentive. However, I did miss having any music playing—no old-school tunes, bebop, or classic rock. In fact, there was no music at all. When I visit a carhop, I love rolling down the windows and enjoying the music along with the weather. That's what the carhop experience is all about.

The quality of food here never fails for me. I'm a big fan of their burgers, especially the #2 and add jalapeños. Be advised the jalapeños can carry some spice. The burritos are tasty as wel. The tater tots are a bit too greasy for me but the wifeenjoys them over the fries.
A younger employee wearing a black cap was working as a carhop tonight, and he did an incredible job! The service was outstanding, and he was such a polite young man. He was very friendly and handled 5-10 cars with great efficiency!
I've been dining at this restaurant for over 30 years, going at least once or twice a week, and I have always appreciated the freshness of their food. I've never had a negative experience, particularly at the Edinburg location.
