I've always loved Steak 'n Shake, but my recent visit didn’t meet my expectations. I placed a mobile order while sitting in the parking lot, taking my time, so by the time I went inside to be seated, I expected my food to be ready soon. I ended up waiting in the dining area for about 15 minutes, and when I asked about my order, I found out they had prepared it like a drive-through order. Unfortunately, it wasn't fresh. I was really hungry, though, so I went ahead and ate it before leaving. On a positive note, I did come in for my birthday shake, which was delicious!
A few friends and I visited the restaurant, and we ended up waiting nearly an hour for our food to be prepared. We also ordered milkshakes, but they took so long to arrive that we had to take them to go. I don't think I'll be returning to this location.
The food here is really delicious and flavorful, but I’ve noticed that the staff can sometimes seem a bit lackluster and uninterested. I understand why that might be the case, but they do occasionally forget burgers or specific orders.
The burgers are consistently hot and fresh. The staff wears masks and gloves, and they are the friendliest in Brandon! While I'm not a fan of the shakes, the burgers, fries, and the staff definitely deserve a five-star rating!

The restaurant packaged my food in the most organized and careful manner. It's definitely the best presentation I've ever seen for a takeout order.
The Reese chocolate peanut butter shake, the Oreo cookies and cream shake, and the birthday shake were all fantastic! My family really loved them!
The steak burgers and fries were served hot, fresh, and incredibly tasty. The milkshakes were also truly delightful.
We waited 40 minutes for our food. The service was very poor, and the restaurant was quite dirty inside.

We waited nearly 30 minutes for three combo meals, and we had kids with us!
