Wow! It's been years since we enjoyed Steak 'n Shake since the Randhurst location closed. My mother-in-law wanted to go, so we took her to the Elk Grove location. We were truly impressed! The restaurant was spotless, the staff was friendly and attentive, the kitchen ran smoothly and efficiently, and the food surpassed our expectations! They now have two changes: you place your order at a kiosk that accepts cash or card, and there's a convenient self-service soft drink station. We actually appreciated these updates. I highly recommend this Steak 'n Shake location!
This restaurant has an excellent location, is clean, and offers quick service. All their dishes are well-presented and, of course, very delicious.
Very nice to dine in. 1/2 price shakes is very good. Buy only between 2pm and 4pm. Wish it could be til 5pm. As I leave work at 4pm

The manager doesn’t speak well enough English to be a manager I had to repeat myself 20 times I waited even longer for my food
This is a great location, clean, quick service and all their food is neat and presentable and of course very tasty.
The milkshake was only three-quarters full. The chicken was quite greasy, but the fries were served hot.
It was my first visit ever. The food was tasty and prepared quickly. Kinda spendy in my opinion
