I ordered a hot dog meal for my granddaughter at this restaurant, and it was good. The fries were also tasty. However, we did not receive any ketchup with our order. We waited for about 15 minutes in the drive-thru and no one came back to assist us. Eventually, my husband saw a lady and asked her for ketchup. She handed us one packet, but when I requested more, she gave us another one in a very unpleasant manner and quickly closed her window. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant. We are paying customers and expect better service. If you do not enjoy working there, perhaps it is best to find another job.
I really can't understand why a QR code is needed to use the fountain drink machine. And no refills? Whoever thought of this should definitely reconsider their decisions. This downward trend in service quality needs to end! We placed an $82 order for seven people, and of course, it was incorrect! When we brought it to their attention, they somehow managed to mess it up again. I'm done with this place! Maybe a drive-thru experience would be better, but I really doubt it. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother dining in.
The staff was friendly, but I had to get a refund for the coffee I ordered at the kiosk because it wasn't good. The manager kindly explained this to me. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. My only issue was finding a hair on my tomatoes and only a small piece of bacon. It was a bit annoying, but not enough for me to complain. I still enjoyed my burger because Steak n Shake makes my favorite burgers.
I had their spaghetti 5-ways, I only got 3. Base was undercooked noodles, chili, and beans. Here's a lesson: Angel hair pasta; 5-7 minutes, Cincinnati chili (it's at Kroger) unless you can make it by hand which, I believe, you cannot. Drain the pasta and after you have the chili warm, put it on the noodles with shredded cheese, onions or whatever. Furthermore, I've had a better burger at McDonald's.

There are certain places I've visited and vowed never to return to, and Steak and Shake is one of them. I mistakenly went back to give them one last chance, and it was a poor decision. The service was slow, the food was just average, and there was a clear lack of respect for customers' time. This experience has solidified my decision: I will NEVER go back again.
It's got the new structure. The Diner Appell. Now it's a sterile futuristic self-service counter. All you need is the robot cook and you have no human interaction at all. This is a dying chain, I expect them to be out of operation next year. Who came together with this concept destroyed a franchise and all my good memories of Steak and Shake.
I visited this restaurant twice, hoping to give them another chance after having cold and unpleasant food the first time. On my last visit, there was only one car in front of me at 11:00am, but it took a very long time in the drive-thru line. The shakes were not worth the price. Unfortunately, they have lost me as a customer.

Went in for lunch and restaurant was very clean. Staff was friendly and service was fast. For the price you can't beat it.
This is their worst location. I'll never go back here and probably never go to another steak and shake either.
