Stiftsgasthaus d Stiftes Heiligenkreuz

I was seeing the monastery and a healthy appetite was the main motive I went for lunch at the gasthof. And I didn't regret my decision.The ambient of an old monastery and typical Austrian gasthof was interesting.The service was fast and the staff friendly and helpful.I had a soup (3.80 euros,) a Wildragout, bore and elk (10.30 euro) andd a small beer (3.40 euros.) The soup was fine. The ragout with fine cuts of meat and not only the cut off corners from steaks and spiced and prepared right for the palate. The portions are well sized and more than enough that you need not eat anything else for some time.Yes, there is ample parking space and a nice Wienerwald for a walk after a good meal.I can...

We came for a quick lunch. Pumpkin soup, wild sausage with sauerkraut and potatoes and apple strudel. Soup and dessert were average but the main was out of this earth. It was perfect! Absolutely delicious and big portion for 8,50. And the food was served super fast. Like couple of minutes after ordering it.

We enjoyed the typical Austrian lunch. Though it is predominantly non-vegetarian restaurant but offers some vegetarian dishes too. The service though bit slow was good. Portions served are good. Food was fresh and tasty.It is not a budget restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated and well maintained.

This is a great place if you drive around the Vienna Woods it's a good location for stopping between a few villages you can enjoy a nice dinner or a great snack they have good service and very very very good wine

A delightful lunch at the gasthof of Stift Heiligenkreuz! Everything about it was relaxing and the food was delicious. My hisband had a delicious wild meat salad and I had the best schnitzel of our entire trip.
