Aurora needed this restaurant. It's location next to the theater makes it perfect for pre-show or post-show dining, but it will be a destination of its own soon. Update, After watching Sound of Music at the Paramount. We went back to Stolp Island Social. We had the crab cakes appetizer, the flounder and I had the center strip. The meal was so delicious, Just like the 1st time, the staff was great. And I'm so, glad I was able to have their wonderful food that everyone talked about. Went on a Thursday evening when the Paramount and Copley Theater had shows. The decor is charming and Sarah our waitress was helpful and attentive. The food left a lot to be desired. Two of us had the lamb bolognese which was tastless. It was spaghetti with ground overdone lamb. Supposed to have ricotta cheese but didn’t taste it. My husband had the pork chop. It was huge, but had a lot of fat and didn’t appear quite done. The fourth person had the fish he said it was OK but nothing special … – show
