Strate's Brauhaus - Table reservation

we three friends visited another friend who was near detmold to reha. before we wanted to stroll through detmold and eat together at lunchtime. that was not so easy! the pedestrian zone was rugged, the restaurants also, in three that we liked, was no more space to get. so to the next, “Strates Brauhaus” that we already liked from outside. the second oldest factory house was built in 1550 and is under the roof. When we entered the restaurant, we thought, oh, ever, everything was full again. but in the 1st floor there was still a table for us three women, with a view of the pretty winter garden in the ground floor. Mit englischen Freunden zum Essen gegangen - 1 Stunde Wartezeit. Pickert war ok, Suppe zu salzig, Zandergericht (das teuerste) was kalt, wurde dann nochmal aufewaermt und laurwarm mit ausgetrocknetem ( anscheinend aus der Mikrowelle) Kartoffeln das zweite Mal serviert. Service nicht existierend, noch zum Zahlen hinterher gelaufen. Wegen des schlechten Fischgerichts und der Suppe gabs dann das Mineralwasser und den Saft gratis, aber keine Entschuldigung

La cerveza estaba fantástica, bebimos diferentes tipos, pero la comida dejaba bastante que desear. Al ser el restaurante más recomendado de Detmold esperábamos mucho más y no los platos mediocres que comimos. Los que opinan que es la mejor comida alemana que han probado, imagino que apenas han comido en restaurantes alemanes

Quality of food has significantly decreased. My mother always warned me to eat in restaurants with pictures of the dishes in their menu, so if you want to enjoy a good glass of local beer in a nice atmosphere go there, but don´t expect too much from the chef.

I would strongly recommend to visit this Brauhaus. Very tasty authentic German meals. Also love the beer
