I visited Succotash yesterday October 15, 2023. We asked to see the menu so we could have an idea of what they served. (This was before sitting down) We were under the impression that it was southern cuisine. I decided I didn’t want it after I read the menu. Then said let’s go back and give it a chance. The waitress comes over and explains that is a mix of southern and Asian cuisine. Never had this before so I was a bit skeptical. I ordered collard greens, Mac and cheese, and the butter milk biscuits. My companion ordered the short ribs with Mac and cheese. Well the greens over saturated with vinegar. that was my first time. the customer service was great, eating and the prices were not. I was born in biloxi ms, so when they say, south kitchen, I know what that is. that's Asian food and they should just say that. black BBQ sauce, nope. I'm sure someone enjoys it, but not me. the ambiente des ortes was beautiful. to the happiness my server intuitiw was enough to tell me exactly what I ordered and try to adjust the meal for me. I couldn't even get normal Mac-n-cheese. I did it, but I was very excited about the south kitchen.
I wasn't a fan of the food here. The menu options sounded amazing but they didn't deliver as they should. Our server was very nice and kind and the chef also came and talked to us but the flavors were off and very underwhelming for expectation of taste and overwhelming with disappointment. Presentation of dishes were nice and they had some interesting/good sauces to try. The ambiance is nice and you can take nice pictures here if you like.
Succotash offers an array of appetizers. The Country Ham and Pimento Cheese Crudite is a must try Southern-style charcuterie board. It comes with two home made biscuits, homemade pimento cheese, savory spreads, and tangy pickled vegetables. The deviled eggs, smoked wings, and fried oysters are also fan favorites appetizers.

great evening. had the taste of the south. everything was delicious, except the ribs and the chicken were a little dry. it was late in the evening on the day of the father. service was excellent.

It was to dark and it was hot inside. And the greens wasn't good.. there was to much vinegar and kim-chi don't go in collards.
Great burger!!! And their strawberry rhubarb dessert was the bomb!
