Nearly years of eating Indian food, then to be served this vile take away. I asked for Prawn Biryani. What I received was rice with one dominating horrible smell and taste. Biryani should have several light flavours but this was more like a packet...of spicy rice from the supermarket with a horrible mono taste. The veg curry served with it was tasteless slop. I also had Aloo Gobi that tasted just the same. The chapati looked right but was hard and dried up. How can they use well known names for their dishes but serve up this mess ? If food was a human then this would be the most monosyllabic idiot on earth. I have seen good reviews on here but wonder just what they are comparing it with. Now...
We use Sultan fairly regularly; as a family, as a couple and on our ‘dads nights out’. Sam is a superb host, very friendly and happy to help and nothing is too much trouble. The food here is second to none; the best curry house...for miles around I’ve never had such good tandoori chicken; it just falls off the bone and isn’t dry like you often find. Tandoori grill master is my dish of choice and I’m never disappointed! A great place for families or social get togethers. Can’t fault the takeaway service either, always pretty quick and food arrives piping hot; even occasionally comes with a beer ‘on the house’ We love Sultan; we’re sure you will too!
We LOVE Sultan!! We absolutely love curry and used to travel to Leicester for our favourite, however since Sultan opened some time ago now we don't need to travel all that way. The food service is by far the best around. We are regulars...and never have a complaint! The lamb shank is one of our favourites, so so tasty. We also have takeaways from here. The only negative about Sultan is my birthday fell on a Monday this year and they close on a Monday! I really wanted to celebrate in my favourite place, but I will let them off as the staff deserve a break haha! Thank you Sultan for bringing fine food service to our little town...

eating was nice enough. they served it on super hot plates that helped to keep eating warm (one of my pets is cold eating). eating is appropriate in price. but the drinks are expensive. also they add a service fee. the bill that I strongly disagree.
I have eaten here in the past, and the meals were good, but the place was lacking in atmosphere. it has been closed for some time and shows no signs of a reopening.
what a great place. the restaurant excellent decor is matched by its excellent kitchen and service. If they're in this area, they'll have to be here. well done
although we had decent decently beautiful takes from here had gone before the last two were absolutely revolting swim in fat and bland never again
