What can I say about the Summit Diner that hasn't been said before? It's been voted the best diner in New Jersey countless times. The breakfast here is superb—quickly served and piping hot. Some standout dishes include the ham side, corned beef hash, and tuna melt, along with their excellent coffee. The diner has a legendary status, so you really can't go wrong. Just be prepared to wait a bit for a booth during busy times, or you can opt to sit at the counter for an authentic New Jersey diner experience! Having worked in Summit for 28 years, I take pride in being a regular. The owners and staff are truly wonderful!
The Food and Service is very good, fantastic. Great Coffee! Omelets are perfect, Home Fries are both crispy soft texture as they should be. Rye Bread, not your ordinary Rye, very good. Grilled Chicken Sandwich is Money. Tomato is ripe fresh and lettuce crispy. Grilled Chicken grilled to perfection with grill marks both sides and very moist and flavorful. Can't Go Wrong Here! It is a little tight but I'm a large man. I'm already planning my next trip back.
The French toast is soft and delicious, although it was a bit excessive on the butter. It's a tiny spot, but the atmosphere is great. If you're in Summit or visiting, it's a wonderful place for breakfast.
This place is a classic. Great comfort food and great service in a classic NJ diner spot. They serve all the staples. Great portions for breakfast. Definitely stop in for breakfast if you're in the area.

My favorite breakfast place in Summit! I enjoy sitting outside with my dog, and the staff goes above and beyond by treating him to some bacon. He loves it there just as much as I do!
The food was cheap and they only take cash meaning we had to go two blocks down to the nearest ATM just to be able to pay for a lousy meal.
Quaint diner that you can describe as an authentic Jersey diner. Wonderful experience!
