We drink water anything and don’t have that that drippings like your dripping snot from your nose to your throat. This food is authentic. It is very good. The goat meat is t tinder.. I always order from here through UBER and Postmates, and in person. However, Saturday, 09/17/22, I was here, customer service was terrible. Lady in the front was very rude to a customer over the red sauce and meat issue. I ordered my food (jollof rice, eba okra, extra assorted meat and moin-moin). I waited 45 minutes for eba and okra soup to be ready. Meanwhile, she already packed my jollof rice in bowl and left it at the counter. Okra soup tasted nasty, I felt like I was eating more stick than okra. This tells the okra was not fresh and no stew on top of okra either. I placed an order over the phone and once I get there they hadn’t even started on my order yet after 30 minutes of placing it. I patiently waited and my food and it was finally brought out to me and I tried paying the cashier in cash and she didn’t even know how to count bills. I helped her letting her know what she owed me in change and she was still confused. To top in off I get home and the food was cold and it’s the worst taste in food I’ve ever had. It taste like it was days old and fermented. A waist of $80 dollars in just 3 plates. Cook it yourself instead!!!!! Worst food ever and I got diarrhea even when I couldn’t finish my plate and my family couldn’t eat theirs as well.
First of all, the customer service was disappointing. I placed my order online ahead of time, but when I arrived at the restaurant, they claimed they hadn’t received it. Instead of addressing my situation right away, the cashier chose to assist the six customers behind me first, leaving me to wait an additional 30 minutes beyond when my order was supposed to be ready. I felt somewhat disrespected, and the cashier was quite rude. As for the food, it didn’t match the high prices I paid; it was overpriced and not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend this place and would suggest looking elsewhere.

Yesterday I ate at the location in Marina del Rey or Venice. It's right there on the border on the corner of Lincoln in Washington. The people were very nice and helpful. The food was just not good. The flavors clashed the chicken was super dry like it's been sitting in a warmer for a long time. The ambience in the restaurant was nonexistent. It's too bad I was looking forward to trying something different.
I ordered two appetizers: moimoi and fufu. Fufu was quite simple, and I have no complaints about it. However, moimoi was a letdown. It was my first time trying it, and I found there was very little filling, and it was dry. Honestly, the flavor didn’t appeal to me. On a positive note, the restaurant itself was very clean and bright, the staff were friendly, and the service was quick.
First time eating at sumptuous and man o man it was really delicious the food was hot and fresh. I already can wait until my next visit.my plate consists of Egusi w/Fufu and my husband had the vegetable spinach soup w/Fufu, customer service was amazing that's sumptuous for amazing food and service
Sumptuous African has the best tasting jollof rice and goat meat. I also tried the egusi and it was amazing. I highly recommend Sumptuous for Nigerian food. The best I've tasted in the US! Yes

The service was disappointing. It's not a place I would recommend unless you're already familiar with the menu. The staff was unhelpful, and I won't be returning.
