eating is much too expensive for the quality they actually get. Just eat them somewhere else with better food for the same cost, they trust me. I spent $21 on a fish and chips and was left very dissatisfied with the quality for this price. the fish was blande, the fries were hanging together, I asked if ketchup was in the bag and then said yes found out when I came home that there was no ketchup, which is somewhat less annoying due to the fact that their ketchup packages contain high fructose maissirup anyway. I also got a cinnamon roll that was hard like a rock and I didn't taste any at all. $21 on the drain. I will not eat again from sunset diner.
this place is open around the clock and because I work nights, they are the only thing that is open. I used my company credit card to order food from this place as often as they keep me disappointed. they will never send any condiments. no sauce with the tender. no forks or knives, nothing with the queen. it sits only there dry without acidic saw or salsa. I put notes in order to add it and still not. when you call, they'll be upset. I'm trying to support, but I can't. fries are salty and so are the chicken fingers. better, I spend at least $200-300 per week.
Best drunk after-show 24 hour diner ever!It was loud, and I even got dinner and a show when someone almost fought somebody!The bathrooms really kept you on your toes- washing your hands without trying to actually touch the handles because they looked gross felt like an escape room challenge... And normally you have to pay for that kind of entertainment!The waitstaff knew the importance of independence, and definitely gave you your space. Like a lot.The food was exactly what I needed, and the portions were great.
came from the airport starving. I thought most diners had great food. So I tried. I ordered a sample remover. I don't think his whole frozen food. the chicken fingers were dried out and the wings were not good.. I didn't push the place. very simple diner. if they are looking for tasty great foods that satisfy their demand. that is not the point.

I'm vegetarian. I ordered an peanut butter gele sandwich, as my options were limited, which is understandable. I was brought a piece of toast and drip butter separated after each of my friends had finished their meal. I asked the waiter why my meal was unprepared, and he said the kitchen is busy and at this point, what can they say?
Food was really good. Me and my kids enjoyed eating breakfast there for the first time. Will return. Our server was good but I want to highlight Jorge's (not sure what his position is) customer service skills was excellent. He was very attentive. You don't find that in many diners.
I agree up in Greenpoint. This has been one of my favorite breakfast places. Good inexpensive food. Perfect to get together without need for reservations. Glad to know in a neighborhood with so much gentrification that a great classic stands.
I highly recommend trying the French Onion Soup au Gratin at this restaurant. The mozzarella topping is perfectly melted and compliments the rich and filling broth. The onions add a great flavor to the dish as well.

It’s not fancy but it’s a local staple with diner food you’re looking for. My kids and I come here often for waffles and other breakfast food and the customer service is always so great.
Irish breakfast is good but they were missing the beans and black and white pudding. It was still delicious. The diner is a cool place. Good service and friendly staff.
