This was my and my son's first experience at Surf Taco, and I usually prefer Chipotle. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. The portions were small, the prices were high, and they completely messed up my son's order of four tacos. I specifically requested no lettuce or sauce—just cheese and meat—twice! But when we got home, there was lettuce on his tacos. We definitely won't be returning for these overpriced, small tacos.
The food was acceptable, but our biggest concern was the rice and beans, which were very bland and tasteless. Even after we attempted to spice them up with various salsas, they still failed to impress us. It's important to mention that this seems to be a specific problem at this location, as the other Surf Taco locations in Belmar and Silverton didn’t have this issue.
This was my first experience ordering from the Wall location. I really enjoy Surf Taco and typically appreciate the fresh flavor of their beef tacos. However, this time I found the beef to be overly seasoned, which detracted from what I had expected. It's possible that the recipe has changed since my last visit to a Surf Taco.
The food here is just as excellent as at their other locations. The kids' meals are perfect for our 2 and 4-year-old. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean, and parking is a breeze. Book a table now
