I have seen various reviews here, but we have to say we never had a bad experience with Sushi 21. The staff is friendly, orders are more than sufficient and they had safe operations during the pandemic lockouts. Servings are fantastic, price perhaps a little high, and the location less than ideal is only from 2nd n Gaffey. Probably from a renovated Taco Bell by tte 80s, but they lived well in the room and made it themselves. Cute signage, interior to mostly takeaway orders, but surely again during the high pandemic times. The restaurant was clean, the service was prompt, and the staff was friendly. The food was excellent. It was just a short walk from our hotel, and the sushi was particularly impressive. The salmon was fresh and delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The drinks were also great. Although I didn’t try any of the specialty rolls, they looked amazing. I had a few basic rolls, which were really tasty. The egg rolls and accompanying sauce were fabulous. I also sampled some fried chicken that another diner had, and I would definitely order that again!
I am currently enjoying my meal while writing this review, and I must say it's absolutely wonderful. The quality of the food is top-notch, and the preparation is superb. Everything arrived just as I ordered it, with the appetizers served first and the main courses afterwards. I'm truly delighted with my meal, and I can assure anyone who visits will be in for a delicious experience. Everything is worth it, and I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff is also very kind and attentive. Thank you!
The experience was great! The staff and owners were very friendly. I enjoyed the baked scallop roll, the sushi lunch special, and the San Pedro roll—they were all delicious. We ended up ordering rolls that were quite similar to each other, which was our mistake. We definitely plan to return, and I'm especially eager to try their udon next time! Book a table now
We visited this charming little restaurant during our overnight stay in San Pedro. The service was incredibly welcoming, and the staff offered excellent recommendations, especially since we prefer non-spicy dishes. We enjoyed the rainbow, red dragon, and crunchy rolls, all of which were delicious. The miso soup was also packed with flavor.
I’m honestly torn between giving this place 3 or 4 stars. Since I only had takeout, I'm not evaluating the interior, just the quality of the food. It was just okay, nothing that's compelling enough for me to return. As the saying goes, there are plenty of other options out there.
Yesterday I order food from Sushi 21. We tried avocado rolls, plant sensations and egg rolls. All dishes were delicious! Very recommended.
My cousin is over, it was his favorite sushi place. The food was great, now I know why he enjoyed coming here. I'm back. Food: 5/5 Book a table now
