I like this place. I've stopped in a handful of times. Yes, it's on a local subway stop. Yes, the inner atmosphere is dingy and dull and a bit depressing. But it's one place I can go in midtown-ish Manhattan to get sushi I don't have to have in a wait service restaurant. I order my sushi at the counter, it is prepared pretty quickly, and I take it to my table. It's great for people like me to tend to dine alone. The guys who work in there are basically cool. I will always keep coming back when I want fast good sushi. Places like this in NYC are becoming rarer and rarer.
The food here is fresh, the quality is excellent, and the prices are quite fair. What I appreciate the most is that when I order takeout, their payment iPad does not have those awkward tipping options. You simply tap your card, and that's all there is to it! There's no pressure or guilt to choose a tip amount, which I really love—more restaurants should adopt this practice. Food: 5/5
I loved it, i walked in with a full belly and said “screw it, limmie order some food here” and got myself a sweet potato with cream cheese roll. The price was amazing, the chef was nice and i just had a great time eating the rolls.Im telling you, give this place a try asappppppp
This restaurant is a local favorite, and I'm really grateful it made it through the pandemic. It reminds me of my days in nursing school when I had to get by on just $20 a day. The sushi is still excellent, and they prepare it quickly if you're in a rush. Food: 5/5.

I love the salmon teriyaki lunch, you can't beat it. I work in the neighborhood and it's quick and filling and the price is right. It's a very no frills decor which makes me love it even more. The people that work here are super friendly.
Ordered take out and had the spicy salmon roll with crunch. It was cheap and delicious. I would definitely recommend if you want something quick for take out.Food: 5/5
obsessed with the lime green walls at this spot. it's also always empty when i go so i can enjoy my shrimp tempura served 2 me by the cute sushi guy in peace.
The prices were an excellant value, and it was quiet but dark. They seemed understaffed but the service was fast and effiencent. It was very busy.
