An amazing hidden gem. Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, the sign out front only says Sushi. That 's it, that 's the only warning. Small inside, nothing too fancy. But the food and service are unlike any strip mall sushi restaurant I 've ever been to.The menu small and mostly focused on nigiri sashimi. There are a few rolls and kitchen entrees but the traditional Japanese style sushi is clearly their specialty. We got the Toku-Jo Sushi 12 15 piece nigiri plate. The quality and selection was amazing. From O-Toro to Santa Barbara Uni, it was what you would expect at a high-end, LV strip restaurant for 2-3X the price. Great selection of Japanese beers and sakes were also available too.I nee...

In A Nutshell:-Sushi Hiroyoshi is a non-descript sushi restaurant located in an older strip mall off Charleston Rd.-Expect to order their omakase if you want a real culinary adventure for the next 1+ hours or so.-Before I forget it's highly advisable to reserve a table ahead of time.-I once attempted to enter without one was turned away b/c the seating is very limited this place is pretty popular.-With that being said, the restaurant itself it's very fancy exterior or interior-wise, all of the effort is on hiring the best sushi chefs who prepare the finest presentation.Overall, this is a good date night spot for anyone who really loves the entire experience of high-quality sushi.

We got the Omakase meal for $200pp+. Kaiseiki courses were good, somewhat interesting. However for Omakase we always look forward to the nigiri. The nigiri pieces were disappointing to say the least. To start, the rice was not cooked properly — it was undercooked and missing the vinegar taste to complement the fish. The pieces were tiny, about the size of 2 quarters side by side, small enough that you couldn’t really taste the fish umami. The fish itself was kind of interesting, but nothing to write home about. Did not have a good selection of sake pairings neither. Overall, a poor culinary experience.

At the risk of sounding paid for (or family! UNBELIEVABLE ! Our 4th visit to this hidden gem was as good as the first…if not better! Hands down best Sushi I’ve ever had…and that’s a lot. Don’t come here for “crazy” rolls, loads of Mayo, or custom hand rolls…and saying “yum-yum” here might get you killed! (HA This is a traditional…authentic…to die for sushi! Trust me…don’t miss this. 7 tables..very small..great sake list…a must!
