This is our second trip here and it was great! The staff are always friendly and we’ll be back and fully recommend! We visit Courtney only once or twice a year and we stop in at sushi wara every time! Sushi tastes fresh and their seaweed wrapper is probably one of the best Iv had. Please don’t change a thing! Spicy tuna can get pretty spicy but that’s not a complaint from us! The gents making the rolls always say bye and thank you on your way out. It’s just such a friendly and inviting vibe from the staff. Great job! We will most definitely see you again! Thank you
I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Sushi Wara, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff's friendliness added a warm touch to the evening, making us feel right at home. Wonderful food and beautiful plating.The sashimi was fresh no fishy afternotes. I adored the lime slices for the fish.Lots of ginger to cleanse the palate.The tako was prepped perfectly . The inari Nigri which I order where ever I go was a perfect portion.The agadashi tofu was superb. I like how they put the tofu in the sauce.The gomae was well balanced a perfect starter .Everything was given in stages which was wonderful. Thank you for making my first experience at your establishment memorable.
Okay sushi spot, tuna was kind of stringy? Like I couldn’t bite in half. The strings of the fish were there. Is this normal? Am I uncultured? I’ve never had this happen to a piece of nigiri. Maybe I’m the problem. But even so, it was mediocre sushi. There is better in the valley. Book a table now
Amazing sushi place which seems small from outside but quite expansive inside. The selections are decent size and priced higher since the covid inflation. Food quality is delicious and the service is great. Strongly recommend a visit even if not in the area. Worth the drive.??
Small sushi restaurant in Comox downtown. I like its design in Japanese style inside. Food was so delicious, special rolls are good portion of 10-11 pieces. Service was fast and staff really friendly. Top marks ?
I went twice and so far, very satisfied with the quality and the portions. I tried the Wara Deluxe Tray and would definitely recommend their Chirashu Donburi. Will come back if I am ever in the area.
Decor is dated and maximallist. The food and service were good, but menu items were pricey compared to other local options of similar quality. I would go back, but it isn't my first Book a table now
We loved the food: sushi, sashimi and rolls everything was exceptional and extremely fresh as well as tasty! We will come back to Comox just for this experience!!!
