Went here 2 weeks ago on the weekend. It’s our first time here in Sushimania Reading. When we entered the restaurant, they didn’t welcome or ask if we wanted a table for 2 or 4. We were standing by the entrance, waiting for them to approach us. The staff were looking at us, didn’t even talk to us, and they were laughing near the bar/cashier. After 15 minutes of waiting, we tried to ask staff if we could get a table, and they told us no table available yet, and they would call us if the table were available. The food is very good but the service is horrible. We arrived 1h before finishing the all you can eat time and they only gave us the a la carte menu option (more expensive). After ordering, one of the managers shouted to us from far away : Are you sure? It is too much food! It's (total price of our order) of food. We felt embarrassed as he shouted to the entire restaurant. It was our first time there and had no idea how the food was. While we were eating they were looking at us and laughing. Very disrespectful.
I am always impressed by this restaurant! Whether I am dining with my mother or a friend, they never disappoint. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food consistently delicious. The salmon is exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and the beef skewers are simple yet satisfying. Their hot and cold dishes are all fantastic. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are a sushi lover - they have a wide variety of options to choose from. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
It's great to return to this restaurant! It has been a favorite for years. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding, all made fresh to order. For lunch, you can enjoy half-priced items from the menu, or choose anything to eat at any time for around £19 per person. The tables are arranged to follow social distancing guidelines and meet code requirements. I highly recommend this place!

Good take out. Can get busy at times and we had a very disturbing experience there once when a couple with the baby started changing him at the actual table next to us. We complained and the staff just moved us but didn't say anything to the parents who were literally changing a soiled nappy in the area where food was being consumed. We could smell it from the other table. Gross.
We were here yesterday, food and service were good as usual. Always hot and fresh and delicious. We have been here 4 times in the last 6 months and will continue to be here. People complaining about service I personally never had problems with one of the employees and the owner is always happy to help!!
My partner and I absolutely adore this restaurant. It's our go-to spot and our favorite for sushi. The all-you-can-eat option for £20.80 is a fantastic deal. We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sushi and other Japanese cuisine.
My expectation was already low, I have been before at their other branches in LondonBut this experience was not good at all.
