One of my favorite Japanese food in Sydney. This is one of the authentic Japanese restaurant that is owned and operated by Japanese. They also have a very reasonably priced lunch menu, but the abundant servings mean that sometimes you are able to share it with another person and walk out with a completely full belly. Their salmon sushi is one of the best around, the salmon literally melts in your mouth. My favorite combination is sushi (you can ask for an all salmon sushi for $2 extra) and teriyaki beef. Sometimes I get the sushi and tempura combo too. Their food is really delicious and if only I still work around the Surry Hills area, I would go here all the time.
After several fine dining extravaganzas at the end of last year, we were happy to return to our local Japanese restaurant and enjoy a no-frills Saturday night dinner. Surviving and thriving despite the light rail construction right on its doorstep, Suzuya is a locals’ favourite for its cheap and cheerful Japanese offering. The menu has changed only slightly over the years and as regulars we almost order the same thing on every visit.
I absolutely love this place definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants in Sydney! Their style of cooking is very homey and generous. Their salad is massive and their miso nasu sauce was so good. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re after an affordable but satisfying meal.
Love this place to bits. Serve the best Agedashi Tofu in Surry Hills (Some say Inner City). Big serving, value for money and extremely friendly staffs. Visited during both lunch and dinner time absolutely delish!
