I'm a native nashvillian and I'm trying to try all the new places in Nashville. I Waited in line for 20 minutes to grab breakfast and treats for several of the fire halls in the territory. Stepped into the store while putting on my mask, greeted the woman politely behind the counter, and was immediately accosted verbally by the employee for not wearing my mask outside. Ordered a German chocolate cake for this Father's Day and we were very excited to try it. The cake turned out to be a huge disappointment. It was super dry and the coconut pecan frosting was definitely missing the pecan part in it. When you cut it, it just crumbles, it doesn't hold the shape. We had very high expectations for a pricey $50 cake. Publix German chocolate cake is a lot better.
Easily our favorite neighborhood eatery! Ellen is lovely. The cheesy eggy breakfast scones, delightful. And if I want to treat one of our “littles” to a mom me date- this is the spot. The quiches, pastries, and coffee are fresh and unique…lowest price around.

Ellen and Dan are wonderful pillars of the community and, for me at least, the best bakery in Nashville. EVERYTHING is amazing, prices are low, and it always puts a smile on my face.
Delightful bakery with incredible breakfast sandwiches (which are inexpensive to the point that my jaw dropped). They could double their prices and this still be five stars.
Look no further. You’ve found your favorite new spot. I recommend “One To Go” and an “Iced Coffee with Crack and Cream” — Make sure you bring a mask!
The banana chocolate cake is the best cake I've ever tasted. One of East Nashville's gems and one of the many reasons it's great to live here.
