The state of the establishment on Saturday evening reflects how times have changed. Not a single diner at 7pm.
There was one person on staff. We ordered the tofu-fa and I just cannot understand how something they used to do consistently so right, is now so wrong. Watery, powdery and broken. Where is that silken, smooth glossy texture that one can spoon up in slivers of soft, delicate tofu with the sweet, spiced ginger syrup?
Not only did it take 15 minutes. They volunteered to make a second before setting it down onto the table.
Another 15 minutes ... And it was just as bad.

Reasonable choice of Asian desserts here, but sadly service is quite slow the few times I've been here because there's only one employee doing everything. Their tau fu fa (bean curd pudding) is their most popular item and it's usually very smooth and pretty decent - have it hot is best. However, just today one of their puddings was just lumpy and mushy - not how it's supposed to be. Their coconut jelly was quite nice though - refreshing and tastes like coconut water.
