I really like the menu and the quality of the food is great (fresh veggies), although a little bland at times. The avocado bruschetta was great in that they packed on the avocado but it lacked flavor. I like that the take out boxes are cardboard and not styrofoam. The tempeh buffalo wings were very good! The waiter did his job but nothing more. He wasn't very friendly (not mean, just short and to the point, no smiling, etc which didn't seem to fit the atmosphere of the place) and was a little slow to check on the table. The decor is really nice and the candles on the tables are a nice touch. Overall, it was a good experience.
We stumbled on Sweet Grass Grill a few months ago and really enjoyed our meal. We went back for a casual birthday celebration just recently had another great experience. The menu is diverse and includes plenty of (plainly marked) vegan options which is always a bonus for us. The setting of Main Street in Tarrytown is lovely and I wish we lived closer to this place so we could go there more often. It can be a bit noisy during the rush so if you're looking for quiet, this may not be the place for you otherwise, I highly recommend it.
We had dinner at the Sweet Grass on Saturday, Nov. 22nd. for a family birthday celebration. The food was very good, as was the service. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The Bread Pudding was outstanding!!
Good food, service fine and a lively, casual atmosphere. Some of the dishes sounded a bit tortured with so many ingredients, but our choices were very tasty and well presented.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday and found it to be quite busy, which I took as a good sign. The food was incredible—delicious and served in generous portions.
The menu has a nice variety of menu items. It all fresh, seasonal and well prepared. It's casual and great for lunch, brunch or dinner.
