I’m a big fan of hard soda and Crumble cookies, although I don’t typically drink soda. I visited Swig for the first time tonight, specifically for the cookies. I ordered one of each variety, including the mini chocolate chip pumpkin cookies. Unfortunately, each cookie appeared to come straight from the freezer. The pumpkin cookies were sticky and hard, and I initially thought they were undercooked. The Reese’s cookie had no chunks in it at all; it was just a peanut butter cookie. I was really disappointed. Swig’s cookies just don’t measure up to those from Soda Rush or Crumble. Honestly, my 10-year-old could bake better cookies.
The soda here is excellent, but I feel really sorry for your employees who have to stand outside in the scorching 100-degree heat in Arizona. The heat from the running cars makes it feel at least 10 degrees warmer. I really think there should be a way to speed up the ordering process; I wouldn't mind waiting a few extra minutes if it meant your employees could take my order from an air-conditioned space. I would even go inside if the lobby were open. Please consider not making your staff stand outside to take orders—they're likely not compensated enough to deal with the risk of heat exhaustion.
For a business that specializes in drinks, this location is practically devoid of ice. If you're hoping for a blended drink, you're out of luck here. Even when ordering other beverages, you'll likely receive just a few tiny ice cubes, which is simply not acceptable in Arizona's heat. I can't recall a single visit where I was able to get the drink I wanted, or where it was actually cold and refreshing. I recommend steering clear of this location and opting for the other one in Gilbert instead.
I went back and tried the REVIVE drink - it’s a delightful caffeinated option that’s much better than Red Bull. I selected coconut and berries; I can't quite remember the exact name, but it was delicious! You really can't go wrong with any of the Revive drinks. They provide just the right amount of energy, which was perfect for a busy Friday at Costco. Give it a try! Name: CLOUD 9.
