In a very busy and hot Roses, As a party of four, we decided to search the back streets for a restaurant in the shade. Taberna del Mar was busy but had a table free. Not wanting fish or paella, I opted for goats cheese salad to start and chicken escalope for main. The goats cheese salad was delicious and couldn’t be faulted however when I had eaten a quarter of my escalope to my horror I discovered it was raw. I told the waiter who told me it was very good quality chicken and he would fry it again for me. I told him even if it was good quality you can’t eat RAW chicken and I did not want anything else. He agreed to take the cost of the meal off the final bill. All in all a terrible lunchtime...
Éramos 6 y comimos varios platos, entre ellos paella, entrecot, mero. Todos quedaron satisfechos, tanto con las bebidas: mojito y sangría, como con los platos. El personal tuvo mucho cuidado. Very disappointing meal at this restaurant. The waiter told us that the quality of food was very high so we decided to give it a go. The starters were fine but having waited one hour from ordering for our mains to arrive, they were very poor and cold. I think the waiter was more interested in tuning Sky TV in for the World Cup football! Would definitely not got back.
